Teaching Style
When I have observed classes, the 2 grades I am assigned to, the teachers usually use the deductive method of teaching. They feed and provide the students more of the rules and give examples for clarity. Only until then that the students would also create and craft one example on the topic discussed. However, it is deductive, it did not follow the sage the stage concept, rather, the teachers always give the students time to participate by formative questioning or recitation whether in chorus or individually. And this is imperative as the learning is all about developing learners and not more of developing the lesson.

I also observed that almost all of the activities the students do are written activities. The students were superb with following and applying the grammatical rules. That’s why when I taught there, I was maximizing speaking and psychomotor activities in which I would instill English as a way to communicate because it is what the students need to try. And thankfully, the students enjoyed speaking or conversation activities by simply asking them guide questions to answer and also playing the game charades.

It is also worthy to mention that the teacher’s way of instruction was specific and simple in a way where students would easily understand. The teachers scaffold it with example that’s why clarity was demonstrated. Presenting examples indeed really change the game.

Instructional Tools
One of my cooperating teachers is very traditional. She does not use technology when it comes to discussing the lesson. She only utilizes the workbook itself. However, when it comes to submission of activities, she will let the students take a picture of the worksheet and send it on their GC on the line application.
On the other hand, my other cooperating teacher uses PPT and MS Word as teaching materials. I was shocked at first because MS Word how can that be a teaching material to deliver lessons effectively. But he did it. He flashes the document and at the same time discusses the lesson to the students. For instance, the lesson is grammar about present perfect tenses, sample sentences to transform are given, then, the teacher will type the answer while the students are saying it.

Additionally, the classrooms are built learning-ready as there is already projector and its screen, or a TV. At the same time there is also a built in music mixer where it allows the teacher to also use microphone which I believe is an effective classroom management as all of the students would hear what the teachers is saying loud and clear until at the back. This will instill clarity and avoid questions that are unnecessary that makes the learning efficient and effective. Moreover, my other teacher does not need this already because her voice is very distinct in a way that it is already loud and clear which resonates clearly in the classroom itself.

Furthermore, teachers uses the workbook assigned and appropriate in each grade level to base their lessons from. The book is divided into 3 sections namely: vocabulary, grammar, and activity. The book for me is good because it contains the basic definitions or information needed by the children. The good thing is that the book gives the teacher the stage to elaborate more that is why basic information is just that was put. Hence, the students will value and still find the teachers' guidance and assistance.

The English book does not only center on English topics. But it integrates and utilizes other subjects' topics like renewable energy in science as a theme of a unit. Hence, all the examples given in the grammar lesson and at the same time in the vocabulary is focused on the unit's theme. This is a very good strategy as the learners will not only know and view English as a subject full of rules, but a subject that embeds and captures all the other subjects. Therefore, this will help them see the importance of it.
